Welcome to the Art Post for talli_approved's story "Small Steps, Heavy Hooves". First let me say that I adored this fic. It has time-travel (which I love) and DeanCas (which I also love) and of course, Gabriel (LOVE). It was brilliant from beginning to end and if you haven't read it yet then you totally need to. I haven't used this particular style in a while but it just seemed to fit.

Also, I'd like to apologize for anyone who had to wait for this fic. It's because I'm brainless. As a treat therefore, I give to everyone the cd 'Small Steps, Heavy Hooves' by Dear and the Headlights. May it improve your fic experience. :D

This is the art created for the brilliant fic 'A Haunting' by cece_away. I had a lot of trouble with this one and I don't mean in the 'omg I can't figure out what to draw, nothing jumps out' sense. Oh no, I mean in the 'why the hell won't anything come out' sense. For some reason I was horribly blocked when doing this. I really really don't know why because it IS an amazing story, full of scenes that I wanted to do. :(

Still I kept at it and managed two that I felt were of an acceptable standard for posting. :D Cece, I hope you enjoy these anyways! ♥ You were amazing to work with and this was a gem of a read. I loved every bit of it.

Here's the mix for jaceyfaye's lovely fic 'Ark'. With this mix I went looking primarily for instrumental/classical and foreign music.

Ark has such a muted and abstract, almost dreamy feel to it that I didn't want the music for it to be too wordy. I felt it'd be a distraction that detracted from the story itself. It's also why I tended to lean towards foreign music, I don't actually speak any other languages (save a touch of spanish) so I have no idea about whether the lyrics fit but well, as I told Jacey "It's just, the music itself can be so powerful... you don't need to actually know what they're saying because you're head's filling in all the detail."

Welcome to the Art Master Post for paleogymnast's amazing and incredible Jensen/Misha AU Springboard Helix, done for the Spn_J2_BigBang. This fic has been one awesome ride and an unexpected one for me. You should all go read it! (and before the art because otherwise there are spoilers~)

Usually I'm one of those people able to hit the claims list pretty much right when they post but that wasn't the case for me this year and by the time I got there they'd already been open for several hours. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find a non-wincest or non-j2 fic that's I'd be able to really get into and then found this... I'm honestly bewildered that it wasnt' taken by anyone and all I can say is 'your loss' WooHoo!

I'm also not normally a huge Sci-Fi fan or a big AU fan but this fic has seriously converted me. Paleogymnast's attention to detail is pretty much unparalled and she creates a universe that you can't help but become invested in. I was right there with Jensen for the whole trip and was honestly sad that it had to come to an end. Truly, I've bought published books that don't come close to this. One of the absolute best things I've ever read. I don't think the art I was able to complete really does credit to how great it was but I sure had a trip trying. ♥ I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.
